Absence

If your child is unable to attend due to being on holiday, please inform us beforehand.

Places will be kept for two weeks in case of absence if you do not inform the preschool of the reason. All places have to be paid for in cases of absence.

If your child becomes unwell during a session we will phone you and discuss what is best for them. Members of staff will administer medicines such as antibiotics if you fill in details in our medical book. Please do not send a child in who has sickness and/or diarrhoea until they have been clear for at least 48 hours.

Behaviour and discipline

We encourage children to be responsible for their own behaviour and actions, to aim towards self-discipline.

Any child will be talked with quietly about any unnaceptable behaviour, emphasising that it is the behaviour which is unacceptable, not the child.

A positive approach will be taken to any unacceptable behaviour with the child being redirected to an alternative activity, with an adult, after talking about the reason.

Continued unacceptable behaviour will be discussed with the parent/carer.
