Activities and Aims

At St Matthew’s we want your child to grow in confidence and enjoy a stimulating and friendly environment.

It is our aim to help children acquire a positive self-image, a pride in the work they do and high self-esteem, through praise and encouragement.

The sessions are carefully planned to encourage all the children to have fun, whilst improving their personal/social skills and developing their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.

We provide a variety of activities and play equipment to develop physical and creative skills and activities encompass all curriculum areas.

We encourage each child to recognize and learn letters, numbers, shapes and colours in preparation for First school.

We promote learning by play and discovery, and aim to help all the children to become increasingly independent.
